Calmness

Of most of the qualities I have tried to learn, somehow have always underestimated the importance being calm, up until now, have been trying a lot to develop it and try to understand its real value especially in tackling problems. Not that I have been overly aggressive but have been guilty of it at times....especially when playing sports.

Being calm has nothing to do with keeping quiet though. Real calmness has a lot to do with being satisfied with the present like living in the now...its like an inner deep contentment with the present, maybe even like getting rid of past baggage and future expectations. But it is a real difficult task maintaining calmness in pressure situations.

Many tend to experience such calmness in religious places...sometimes am included in that category.

Sometimes cannot help but contemplate are passion and calmness opposites then I come across some professionals in their fields who carry out their tasks with such ease and controlled aggression. Sachin Tendulkar and Micheal Jordan first come to mind.

Being calm is so much essential to my current work, and also one of the toughest quality to master for me, so cant help blogging about it.
