Excerpt from The Aquarian Conspiracy by Marilyn Ferguson

Felt like adding something from the book I am currently reading since it might take a long time to come up with something original for a post.

Including a few guidelines for successful projects from the book:
Do the do-able. Many plans fail because they are too grandiose for the available skills and resources.
Learn from your mistakes. Successful projects are often a new, improved version of an earlier effort.
Understand the technology that could help your project.
Look at the entire project, and look ahead.
Recruit respected spokespeople and endorsers.
Be truthful.  Be clear about how far along your plans are-what is hoped for, what is tangible.  "Hype" is a part of the problem, not the solution.
Raise your standards.
Build on the quality of people.
Find flexible forms.  Structure should be versatile enough to meet the unexpected.
Think in terms of solutions, not problems.
Don't get righteous or rigid about your values.  Values comes from perspectives, which can change as circumstances change.  Today's enlightenment may be tommorrow's cliche.
Exploit differences.
Find the middle path.  Successful projects manage to combine freedom and discipline, individual expression and cooperation, the new and the traditional.
Train you intuition.
Go to the roots of your problems.  If you don't, you postpone the day of reckoning at your expense.
Be realistic about the inevitable miscommunication between and confusion among people.
Don't rely on miracles for money.
Respect details and logistics.  "Perfection is made of ten thousand trifles," Michelangelo once said, "and perfection is no trifle."

The Big L word

Its more like the huge L word which almost always behind anything and everything that goes on.  Every being seeks it in their own way.  Its is mostly undefinable but some common nuances remain. For men, its all about trust, acceptance, appreciation, admiration, approval, encouragement.  For women about caring, understanding, reassurance, validation, respect, devotion.

It is the reason behind existence itself.

The question was asked: What is love.
The answer came: You will know when you become love.

Quotes i collected - II

Few more good quotes, For creativity, you need your mind to wander, but you also need to be able to notice that your mind is wandering and catch the idea when you have it. Intuition will tell the thinking mind where to look next. Feelings are just like waves in the ocean; we can't stop them from coming but we can choose which ones to surf. Follow your instincts. That's where true wisdom manifests itself. If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude. The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others. Sometimes people aren't who they seem to be and sometimes people are much more than you originally thought. I slept and dreamt that life was joy. I awoke and saw that life was service. I acted, and behold, service was joy. Only those who have learned the power of sincere and selfless contribution experience life's deepest joy: true fulfillment.

The dance of the flower in the wind, in the sun, in the rain, cannot be understood by the head; the heart has to be open for it.

The degree of freedom from unwanted thoughts and the degree of concentration on a single thought are the measures to gauge spiritual progress.

To live is to love.  Our hearts must be so full of love that there can be no room therein for hatred to anyone.

God has created you so that you may find him within your heart, deep within yourself, beyond the body consciousness, beyond the mental consciousness, beyond the intellectual consciousness.  Beyond all forms of consciousness of which you become conscious, there is a consciousness which is called Brahm....hidden in you.

In all your relationships, if you can love someone enough to allow them to be exactly what they choose to be - without any expectations or attachments - you will know true peace in your lifetime. True love means you love a person for what they are, not for what you think they should be.

Concentration

"Concentration implies, first, an ability to release one's mental and emotional energies from all other interests and involvements and, second, an ability to focus them on a single object or state of awareness": from this article from TOI. It outlines how concentration is the most important thing for success. Have come to experience it for sure over the last few months. Somehow am always in disbelief after coming across all the mistakes I have made in a report. Needless to say even with the high levels of concentration I think I have developed I seem to be disturbed/pertubed when scribing hard dictators and end up losing chunks in sentences or adding something totally different. But am always trying to learn for the next report and that is what I tend to like about my job.

Concentration for students, teenagers especially, is really tough. Consider myself lucky enough to have had learned to concentrate during lectures in school/college but isnt luck just another word for a concentrated mind. The mind is generally often fickle with many ways to trick itself hence its very hard to concentrate on any task undertaken. Most probably the most important aspect of education is developing right concentration apart from the knowledge gained and then developing concentration to higher levels through the years.

Hoping the great man gets his 100th very soon coz he has reached those high levels of concentration on so many ocassions.
