Rules

Recently the government has been taking a lot of decisions to ban things and trying to implement such bans.  I think it would be helpful to make some more proper rules in other areas and implement them rather than announcing bans by introducing laws based on religious outlook for vote bank.

In my younger days I tried to break rules after understanding their purpose.  Now to an extent I understand rules are required to maintain proper discipline.  Many people who know me might think I have too many rules now a days I try to follow to the point of being stubborn and obsessive compulsive.  Most times I enjoy being self disciplined....trying to understand the true meaning of self and devotion.  I am glad that there only couple of rules I have not broken:  Being true to myself (and not lying to others).  Not doing anything that I will not be able to talk about with my parents.

All of us need their own set of rules based on circumstance and experience but some important rules should remain the same.

Humility

Mostly  I try to blog about my life lessons I have learned and as much as I hate to brag about such topic I decided I would share my thoughts here even though I am far from learning about true humility in real sense.

The message portrayed in the above pic is so true.  As long as you stay true to yourself and your values there is no need to think about your own self all the time.  Humility is a lot about serving others yet being centered and developing self-confidence which may or may not involve others but which helps to keep you balanced from various conflicting emotions and insecurities about how others respond to our actions/deeds.

I think being truly humble is one of the hardest thing to understand and to try and develop.  It should not be confused with being mediocre, gullible.  It is one of the endless quest for me whenever I am working to calm my mind to shed ego and try to be truly humble.  I think it also is a feeling that we are an inseparable part of the whole in a small scale.  It is very hard to describe so hopefully I will add.
